This is life size. The shoes are gumpaste which I made by purchasing an inexpensive pair of platform shoes at Ross. I deconstructed them and made my patterns from that. The shoe box was cut from a 1/4 sheet pan. The sides and top are modeling chocolate. I was very happy with this turn out since it was my 1st time making shoes!

Great job. How do you make the side templates for the shoes? Any help would be appreciated.

I have this same type of cake to do next week. You did an excellent job. Can you tell me how you did the logo on the shoe box?

mlwideman, since the box top was not going to be eaten (I put a cardboard under the modeling chocolate to make sure the corners stayed straight and did not sag) I just found the logo online and printed it out on regular white paper. I cut it out with an exacto knife then glued it on with a non toxic glue stick. It took forever but I liked the end results. Thanks for asking!
