This 2-tier cake actually served as the party cake and the smash cake, with the owl as the smash cake. The board beneath the owl was supposed to be covered in the same paper as the square cake board - but I ran out of contact paper.

This is what I ended up making for my son following a bout of food poisoning - along with cookies and cake push-pops.
