Dinosaur Cake Dinosaur Is Made Of Rkt Covered In Fondant Not Sure Who Originally Did This On Cc But My Grandson Was Thrilled And I Had

Dinosaur cake - dinosaur is made of RKT covered in fondant. Not sure who originally did this on CC, but my grandson was thrilled and I had so much fun in the build!!! So thrilled with how he turned out! Thank you to the original designer!

Hi, I absolutely love your cake and I'm planning to try such a cake for the birthday of my godchild. Does the dinosaur have some kind of internal support? I make one decorated cake a year, so I still have lot to learn :).

I did this cake a few years ago and it's still my favorite! When I made the dinosaur, I used wooden skewers to support the legs, attach the legs and attach the arms because I didn't have a lot of experience either. It worked just fine. I'm sure someone else would do something more sophisticated but my simple way worked just fine! All the best to you and I'd love to see your finished cake :)

Maybe few other questions: if I understand it correct, there's nothing inside the body itself (pure RKT)? And all the weight of the dinosaur is on its legs (and maybe part of the tail?)? Are the wooden skewers attached to the board or is the dinosaur actually standing on its own (detachable).
