Treasure Chest
For my son's pirate party I made this chocolate treasure chest with a chocolate ganache icing. I used two loaf pans to make the cake and I filled one pan with 3/4 of the batter and the other with the remaining 1/4. The sand is smashed nilla wafers and the straps are fruit roll-ups and skittles. I placed candy jewlery in-between the layers to look like jewels were spilling out. It was fun to make this cake and add all the treasure around it!
Wow! Super cake! I bet your son loved this cake!
Thank you!! Yes he loved it. He picked out the candy that went in/on it so he was very proud! :-) Thanks again!
Adorable! I have been trying to talk my kids into a pirate party so I can make one too! Great job!
