Thank you!!! I got the idea from a Wilton book :) They're just fondant circles, and you wanna score the sides about 1/2" in to make a triangle... then just fold the sides up and place them on your cake in a circle... then just keep building from there.. Hope that helped, lol. :)
yes very very pretty but must be having one of those days and cant seem to wrap my head around how you did it. siting here making paper circles ........ glad it is friday. any light that anyone could shed would be most appreciated as i would love to try this out
0930- Take a circle and draw the biggest triangle with equal sides inside that circle that you can. Then fold along the lines. It took me a few to see it differently too. I thought they were circles cut and stuck into the cake. I love how it looks like it is tucked fabric! Desiree- How does the back look? Did it work out evenly? And if so how did you make that happen???
What a fabulous cake... before you said how you'd done it, I thought it was circles just folded in half and then put onto the cake to make the pattern. But now you've explained it, I can see it! :o)
