I was going to make this for a shower tomorrow and then we had to cancel. But, I had already ordered the Eiffel Tower and had to make "taster" cakes this weekend anyway, soooo I figured "what the heck" and just went all out. I emailed the bride and groom the picture and said "in 10 years, you won't remember that you didn't get to eat the cake...enjoy the picture!" This is my first pink and black cake...I just love the color combo!! :)

well, mainly that only about 4 people were going to be at the shower, including the bride, and the person coordinating didn't figure it was worth my time, plus getting it from me to her was going to be challenging. So, we'll eat it tomorrow at our dinner party! My husband thinks I am crazy...but oh well! :) The theme for the shower was "Pink and Paris"...hence the decorations.

now see... i did that zig zag border on one of my cakes like a month ago and couldn't think of another to go along with it on the top... i love yours... i am putting this in my favs so i can refer back to that. plus i love black, pink and the paris theme,... very cute!

There are so many combos of different shades of pink with black and they all look so good! This is really a great cake...love the combo of the zigzag on the sides and the top border..and the two-toned writing is really cool! Great cake!
