Ombre Petal Cake--styrofoam dummy cake covered in individual petals...it took two of my employees plus me 20 hours to complete. We finished off the top with two burgundy poppy flowers. The cake was made for a bridal expo and we will "finish" the cake off with a few more small flowers on the top...the cake is very "Maggie Austin-esque" :) TFL!

    This is amazing! I am sorta freaking out because a customer ordered a cake for next weekend and changed the design to look just like this. The pic she sent me is ombre petals like this but cream to tiffany blue. I have no idea how to do this. Is it just circles or petal shapes? I'm so worried I won't figure this out. Thankfully it is a small 2 tier. I would LOVE any insight you could share.
