Turquoise and Gold.....
I was asked by a bridal magazine to create a cake for their editorial shoot called "Cakes of a Pattern." I was given the piece of wallpaper in the corner of the photo, to base my cake off of. It could be no taller than 15 inches, including the stand. I opted to cover the bottom tier in hand cut tiny rose petals that I brushed with a gold pearl dust. The top tier is covered in ivory fondant. I then hand cut the gold scrollwork and vines and leaves, to mimic the paper. Then made a center piece that matched the floral piece on the paper.
