Great texture on the bow!!! The colors are beautiful, navy is so difficult to accomplish.
May I ask where you got the brooch?

Love the pleated look on the bottom tier. Any tips on how to achieve this look?

Mbranko20 - thanks so much. Navy is hard to achieve. It was made with Satin Ice Blue and then I added Americolors Navy and Black gel colors. The brooch came from www.sugardelites.com Jennifer Dontz has some gorgeous pieces. I have used this brooch a few times and really like it.

Sharbear12974 The pleats are really easy to make. I impressed the fondant first. I cut them with a ribbon cutter so they would all be the same width. As this one had a impression that was easy to match up it was a little easier than some I have made. Start at the back and decide the angle you want and lay the first strip on the cake extending over the top to where the second cake will hide it. Add the next strip overlapping the first one the smallest amount you can without covering up too much of the other one. Keep going around making sure to keep the angle as true as you can so they don't start at a 45 and end up a 35 degree angle!! It is a really pretty look and I like it!
