In community album: Birthday Cakes
A rather tough but very personal brief on this one with lace and ribbon supplied by the client as well as tying the cake in with her invite and gift tags. The birthday girl wanted me to incorporate gumleaves and silver fern for her countries of origin and small craft buttons to represent her and her husband which appear on the back of the cake. Each letter of her childrens names were also embossed into the board. This was a really tall cake and may have been fairly ambitious as my second double barrel. It took me numerous tries to cover it and was so relieved when it was finally covered and ready to paint lol. Thanks heaps for looking.
