Ariel cake I made for my girl's 3rd birthday. Fondant/gum tex ombre ruffles around bottom, fondant covered rice krispee rock on buttercream, & gingerbread big "wave" painted with royal icing to recreate the scene where Ariel sings to Eric on the shore. I cut out a square at base of wave for her tail to fit through--make a cardboard template first, then use to cut shape in dough before baking gingerbread.
