I made this cake for a friend of mine's daughter's wedding. ( Actually we traded a nice used Buick Le Saber for the cake and some snowflake cookies!) Bottom tier ( 9") is Almond, WASC, middle ( 7") is Moroccan Mocha. ( Use coffee for 1 cup of your liquid and 1/3 cup of Orange Blossom Water, and Cinnamon to taste. = YUM!) and the top tier ( 6") is Lavender Mint. ( Grind 1 tablespoon of culinary lavender with 1/2 cup of sugar and 1/2 cup of almonds. decrease sugar and flour by half cup each. Mint buttercream. ;) Sooo yummy! ) Birch bark is painted white chocolate, fondant ,and gumpaste. Topper is made from gumpaste. I used 1/2 WASC and 9" pans for each layer, and saved the cuttings to make " cake rocks" to place around the bottom... Just didnt have them done yet in the photos. This cake was for the bridal party, only, and the rest of the guests had sheetcake and cupcakes. TFL! ( I LOVE weddings!) :)
