your cake is beautiful!!! Can you tell me is the silver beading one piece or aindividual beads
    dweddings 1/1/13 at 2:05pm
that should say '' all individual beads"

Thank you! It's all individual dragees (little silver balls)... I used 4mm,6mm & 8mm... I just mixed them in a bowl and took handfuls at a time and pressed them against the piping gel I rubbed along the base of each cake. It took about 2 1/2 hours to get them all on!

OMG, it looks amazing so beautiful and clean. I love, love your dragee work. It looks like it took a whole lot more than 2 1/2 hrs worth of work.

Amazing....so elegant! Can you tell me approx. the total quantity of the dragees. How much did you have to buy? Thanks.

Thanks everyone! I was really happy with how it turned out! SandyDee, I was really worried I was going to run out so I ordered the 2 pound bags of the 6mm & 8mm from Global Sugar Art. I already had bought some packages from another source... I used 1 ~ 4mm package contains approximately 900 dragee's, 2 ~ 6mm package contains approximately 350 dragee's, 2 ~ 8mm package contains approximately 100 dragee's. It was just about enough... I did have to open my packages from global sugar art, but only needed about a small handful. I have TONS left over.... now I'm really hoping that someone else will order another cake (or 3 or 4) like this one, lol, so I can use up the rest of them! ;)
