Beautiful. I would like to try to make a smaller version of this cake. Can you please tell us how you made the Minnie Mouse head with ears on top? Thanks.
Thanks everyone! Because this cake had to be transported 2.5 hours, I opted to make the head from a styrofoam ball. I coated it with a thin layer of shortening then covered the front half with fondant and trimmed around the sphere (top to bottom) with an exacto knife. Then I covered the back half with fondant and trimmed along the same line to create a nice smooth seam. The ears were just discs made from gumpaste/fondant mix.
