Glam 40th Birthday. Lots of ruffles on the bottom tier. You can't see detail because it's not a good pic. Gumpaste and fondant for decorations. Silver disco dust and silver and black edible pearls for bling. A gentleman wanted a pink, black and a little bling for his wife's 40th birthday and this is what I came up with. TFL!

Cupcakeamore - I used a 2 1/2" round cutter. Then I thinned the edges like doing a flower petal so it has a little frill to it. Fold the piece in half then fold it again and pinch the bottom together. Pinch off the excess and use a tool you're comfortable with and then open the edges some.I used royal icing to stick them on the cake. I made about 120 of those puppies for this cake. It was 8" x 2" tier which looks taller and wider because of the ruffles. Attach them pretty close together so there aren't gaps between. I used little bits of balled up paper towel in places to keep the shapes until they dried a little. It was a little time consuming, but I liked this effect. Hope this helps. Message me if you have any other questions. Cheryl
