This is beautiful! Did you use a pattern? Are they fondant?

Thank you so much, Doris! I did use a pattern. I tend to GOOGLE images for idea, or look at greeting cards. This was a Google search. As I'm not an artist by any stretch of the imagination, I have to do simple/basic. For this, I determined the size of the deer, printed off the picture to those measurements and stenciled it. This was made of fondant, done in advance so it could harden up a bit before dusting in the details. I really like vintage Christmas pics so was pleased to find this. As an office (December/Christmas) b-day cake, I tried not to go too Christmas-y.
