In community album: Groom's Cakes
Groom's cake for my friends Dave & Melissa
First: please excuse the kitchen disaster in the background, I was in a rush to get out the door and only had time for a quick photo. (Hopefully the wedding photographers got a better shot). Second: the bottles are sugar and the ice is clear jello....yes I know, wet jello and sugar bottles don't mix. I dropped my last bag of isomalt on the floor (lots of fun to clean up) so had to go with jello. Luckly it stood up long enough for the photos to be taken at the reception and the cake to be cut. One bottle decided to fall over because it had been dissolved so I just shoved it back in and made it look like one bottle was deeper in the ice than the rest.
