Love it! How did you make a gingerbread ball, and is it really another gingerbread church inside? And how did you make it light up? Very beautiful!

Thank You everyone. Ok, details - I used the 6" Wilton 3-D Sports Ball Pan Set as my base for the globe. I draped my rolled gingerbread over the cake pans and then cut out the opening with a circle cookie cutter and then baked it. As soon as it came out of the oven I had to recut it because it grew past what I needed.
My miniature church inside the globe is on a base I cut out of gingerbread about 4" in diameter. Under the base are battery powered mini led lights that I bought at the Dollar Store. I just ran the extra lights outside the globe to illuminate the surrounding trees.
The base the globe is resting on is just gingerbread draped over a Correlle bowl from my cupboard. I had to support the base though, because my first attempt failed (it caved it from the weight, lol). I just put some stacked gingerbread cookies under the base for support. It worked.
Another hint is to ice the inside of the globe with royal icing as soon as possible to help maintain the circle shape of the globe before humidity has a chance to distort it.
