This cake is absolutely BEAUTIFUL! It looks like to me the lace is fabric, is that correct? I know these can be made using either molds or cricut machines but just like ribbon, this can show another use for fabric decorations if that's what has been used. As long as the guests know it's not edible I don't think anyone cares. I know in the UK the use of real jewelry such as special broches and necklaces are being used on cakes in weddings now. There's never been any rule every little thing has to be out of icing or fondant.
