Thank you BJ for this wonderful idea. My officce wanted a cake to celebrate our supervisors birthday. I had no idea what to make her until I ran across pictures of flip flops. My supervisor is a HUGE fan of flip flops and loved these cakes. It was a chocolate mayo cake with buttercream icing. The straps are fondant and the sand is brown sugar.

I actually made a pattern out of my own flip flops and then used the pattern for the cake and the flowers are brushed embroidery.
