of course! I used a small round brush and medium flat flat brush with black paste colour and edible silver. For the splatter I just thinned the black colour with a little water, and splattered the flatbrush with my fingertip randomly against the cake. I used royal icing for he white lines and dots.
Thank you for your response!! You make it sound like such a small investment in effort; I see it as the Van Gough of cakes - honest answer. This cake is spectacular. I showed it to my mother; she said it could have been a 40's classic. From her, that is the ultimate compliment. So I am going to get a few brushes and fondant and start splattering but there is no way to come close to your masterpiece. What an inspiration!! Thx for sharing.
