This is a cake i made for the first Montreal Cake show!!! I won second place in beginner ,no theme.
My inspiration was a cake i found on internet...i don't remember the actual creator :( sorry but TFL
Are you talking about the crimped effect on top of the cake??? I used crimpers to make it...a tool that you can buy at a cake decorated store. I also painted the border (the crimped part). On the bottom, i used a mold to make the pearl rope...and then i painted it in gold...i hope this help you :)
Thank you lesucreaufour for answering my question. And, yes I meant the crimp part and wow, I'm amazed how you were able to paint the crimped part only. You rock!!! I have a crimper and I've used it in cookies but never on a cake. Clever idea!!
