In community album: Round Wedding Cakes
This is my first paid wedding cake and my first fondant cake, so I did a styrofoam test. The design is based on the brides wedding dress which has daisies almost dripping down the bodice, and ribbon roses on the waste. Also took inspiration from the Martha Stewart blossom cascade cake. The "S" is provided by the bride.

For the final cake I'm thinking I'll build up the forget-me-nots around the bottom of the S to give a bit more depth (perhaps with a small fondant dome?). I'll also add a lot more drips in an assymetrical pattern. I'm thinking the top half of the top tier will be covered completely.

Any feedback postive/negative on these ideas would be greatly appreciated! The wedding isn't until January.
