Re: shoe
Conversation between kylz and me

Hi there!
This was actually my first shoe. I found this quite difficult and was originally was going to make a closed in shoe with a peep toe.
To get the bottom wedge, (I firstly made the heel a few days before), I rolled out the fondant half an inch thick and cut out with my sole template but only the front part. I then cut out the sole. I made a slope out of card (i found this the hardest to get it right but fiddled with it until it looked right) and glued the sole on the top art of the heel and draped it down the slope then over the wedge.
at the back of the wedge, you may have to cut it on a slight angle so it blends with the sole better. I tried making my own template from a shoe that i cut up which is what i used but i ended up trimming a lot off because it looked too big. You can google gum paste shoe template there is a couple that I would maybe work from next time.

hope that helps! as its my first I don't have too much too offer at this stage but hopefully will get some practice with a few more!
