VW Beetle

Your cake looks great. I would love to know how you did it.

I traced the outline of a VW side view right off my computer screen. Then I held that up next to my stacked layers & started carving. I had a smaller stack of covered board under the center of the car to hold it up off the tray. Then I cut out circles of cake for the tires & leaned them up in place. Then it was just a matter of smoothing my blue buttercream & checking pics online for details.

What size pans did you use?

Again, my apologies for not getting used to checking my comments. It's so easy now too! I used 2 9X13 cakes. When I cut some off at the windows, I lowered the cut off piece down to the front or back bumper as needed.
