Shabby chic wedding cake with buttercream ruffles and gumpaste peony....
I iced this cake in ivory buttercream. I then hand piped buttercream ruffles on the top and bottom tier. The middle tier was iced smooth, and I placed a fondant piece that I stenciled and added their monogram to, in the center of the tier. The bride asked me to create one single gumpaste pink peony, with their family heirloom brooch in the center. So I placed that on top, and the cake was displayed on a vintage suitcase.
