Siberian Tiger

Siberian Tiger on Cake Central

My first fondant/gunpaste sculpture. Took 3 days to sculpt, another day to hand paint with icing colors. Sits atop a 10" strawberry cake for my sons 30th birthday.

This is so beautiful!! Amazing artwork; it's almost shameful that it has to be eaten! You're a true artist!

The sad part is they didn't eat the cake. He kept it covered and it softened from the moist cake. These sculptures can be preserved by cleaning all icing off and spraying with acrylic spray numerous times.

Thanks to all for the compliments. Sweetsuccess: Your "kissing couple" was done the same as I did the tiger, piece by piece build up. Your cake is perfect!
