Just Ducky Baby Shower
Handmade gumpaste booties and a gumpaste daisy adorn the top of this ducky - themed baby shower cake. The cake is covered in fondant, with fondant waves and gumpaste ducks. The inset photo shows how the cake top decorations were attached to a fondant-covered keepsake plaque to give to the mom-to-be following the shower.
Congratulations. It's a beautiful design
This is perfection.
Pam, I made the daisy with a PME daisy/sunflower cutter; it's the plunger kind. The ducks were cut with a Patchwork Cutter, from a baby set with 5 or so different designs. Hope that helps!
Beautiful!

Lisa, I see you haven't posted in two years, but wanted to say Hi. It's Shirley. Love your ducky cake.
This is a beautiful cake Lisa. I hope youdon't mind, how did you do the shoes?
The shoes are made with the JEM Life Size Baby Booties cutter. (They are red plastic cutters and there are 3 pieces - sole, front of shoe and back of shoe. The shoes are made from gumpaste. I just used a small Patchwork cutter for the duck and attached it to the front of the shoe.
That is the most precious thing! Thank you for the idea.
