Dog Pound
This was done for a 6yr old's birthday party. Everything is edible except the dog tags & the colorful dog toy. Mom wanted those ribbons added to go with the theme of the party. The space was left open for Happy Birthday & her name.

What are the puppies made of? The fur looks almost like meringue kiss cookies, they are adorable.

Those are 3 cupcakes for each dog and it's just plain buttercream icing. The ears, tails & noses are built up icing. The puppies themselves are very easy to make...now getting the dog to actually look like the real pooch, takes a good picture & alot of playing with icing : )

The grocery store I worked for makes a plain shitzu, mostly white or with brown spots. I thought the design could be done for any dog. The basic dog is easy to make. Buttercream icing can be manipulated with a little cornstarch and the airbrush is an amazing tool. I will post a demo as soon as I figure out how :)
