Practice Cake

Practice Cake on Cake Central

I learned brush embroidery and cornelli lace last night in class so I thought I would practice it on a real cake.

Looks great!! I want to learn how to do the embroidery. You get my son's vote. He glanced at the picture while I was looking, got all excited and said "Cool Cake, Cool flowers."

That is so pretty!! You did a good job! I don't know how you have energy to practice while your taking classes. I was exhausted during the whole 3 months of classes!!

Take medium BC, and tip 2 or 3, I used 3 here, and make an out line....I used the medium blossom cutter as my pattern and print it lightly on the cake, then outline your design in desired color and take a dampened decorator brush and brush outlines inward toward the center. Do each outline immediately so the icing doesn't have a chance to dry, then put a dot in the center...that's all there is to it.
