I made this cake for a baby shower at church. I was so proud of my onsie, but it broke in half as I was putting it on the cake. It is made from fondant. The design pattern on the cake is from a Brawny paper towel.

this is great! how did you get the papertowel to work on the frosting?
MamaT 3/6/06 at 5:31pm
I laid the paper towel on the cake and rubbed it and when I took the paper towel off that is the design it left.

Very cute. You cannot see where the onesie broke at all. I am sure they loved it.

The circles are perfect for this cake, and your onesie is awesome! I love the snap details!

;-D I love your cake do you use a pattern for the onesie? and how thick should it be ? fondant is so unpredictable when it comes to craking.
MamaT 3/8/06 at 7:44am
I looked at a onsie and made a paper pattern for the onsie. The thickness is about 1/16 to 1/8" thick. The snaps are real snaps. I don't think it would have cracked if I had made it a week earlier than what I did. Fondant is very new to me.

I love how clean the pattern is from the paper towel
