First Gumpaste Flowers

This is my first effort at gumpaste - in a molded sugar vase. This has taken me DAYS! I hope it goes faster when you get used to it. This will be a topper for my sister's birthday cake. I'm using a victorian rose theme on it. Hint to fellow newbies....try to remember to shade the petals BEFORE you arrange the flowers! :)

I thought the flowers were real before I clicked on the enlarged pic. They are so pretty. You should be proud of yourself if this is the first time!!!!
