Rose Teapot
i uploaded this one already and tried to change it for another shot, but it disappeared! so enjoy a second time!. thanks to dianelm for help with ball pan. inspired by former cake artist jeanette mccall. rolled buttercream with mmf accents. thanks for looking....again.
very nice work!!!
Such a gorgeous rose! Your leaves are stunning too! :)
I am not sure how you did the black spots on the tea pot but I LOVE IT! The flowers and leaves are so pretty.
i painted them on with a very fine tipped brush. thanks for your comments.
This is Beautiful!!! I LOVE IT!!!!! :)
your teapot is amazing you should be proud :)
many thanks all of you. this teapot was a real trial - it was the first time using the ball pan, so it was a learning experience every second of the way. i also am attempting to use rolled buttercream as much as possible, as i'm really not a fondant fan, and this brings it's own challenges.
This looks great. Is rolled BC like fondant? taste better?
yes, in that it gives you a smooth finish. but it's a little harder to work with because it tends to be a little softer. i usually remedy that by the addition of meringue and a little less corn syrup & butter/shortening mixture. and yes, in my opinion - it tastes much better.
