how beautiful!!!

I don't actually have a cutter for them, but enlarged a copy of an actual cutout to make this medium sized callas. The centers were made of yellow gumpaste and let dry...Then moistened with glue and dipped in cornmeal. Used a cornhusk veiner for inside detail.

This is the gumpaste I used for last year's Maria cake...I mixed tons of red red, super red and some burgundy...

Per your question: well Godiva, here is a case of the novice giving an expert some advice, which is very hard because your cakes are beautiful....in my art world, on the color wheel, the opposite of red is green....maybe a little forest green highlighter dust to darken the edges a bit......

That is going to be one breathtaking cake. Can't wait to see the finished product!

No, I just did it based on what the real one looks like...this must be the easiest flower to make though...just cut and wrap.
