Jane's 40th Birthday

This was the first cake my daughter has done outside the family. She has not done any lessons and was guided by me when she was down on holiday. I am thrilled that she is taking it up. I am so proud so I just had to post it. She lives a long way from me so I expect there will be many calls for help. I think she did a great job. Chocolate mudcake.

Wow! I love this cake! I would never believe this is made by someone who has not been doing cakes for years and never had a lesson!

Not only is the design brilliant, but so is the execution! This cake looks just like what I imagine it feels like to be turning 40 with it's fun and funky shards of chocolate . . . indulgent, wild, and yet so feminine!
