This is a cake I made for the birthday of a co-worker. It's Red Velvet cake with Cream Cheese frosting and buttercream decoration. I have NO idea where I was going with this cake!!! LOL Maybe a circus theme??? This cake is why I need to start planning out my cakes and stop decorating on a whim!!! LOL I'm not very crazy about this cake but oh well :)

Your cake is very pretty. The border looks great, maybe just a bit large for the size of the cake. I love your flowers and the yellow trim. Definitely give it to your co-worker, she will love it!

Wow! Great colors, and I like the borders.... I do the same thing Susan...I just take off like a crazed person sometimes and keep adding til I get tired! LOL

Lovely job!! I love all the vibrant colors. It reminds me of a Whimsical Bakehouse style cake. I;m sure your co worker just loved it.

The top border is beautiful. The colors are great. If this is how you decorate on a whim, no need to plan! Great cake.

I love the cake!!! So flamboyant! lol I think you might like it better with white for the base...that would make those amazing colors pop even more....hurry everyone get your shades 8)

My only criticism would be that as much as I love the side decorations, the scale is wrong. Either a higher cake, or smaller/thinner borders and designs. I like what you've done though, epecially the top border. Oh, also, I'd probably go with one or three flowers on top instead of all the ones you used. Hope that helps.
