My first time working with fondant--I had fun! It's not "perfect", but my daughter loved it anyway. I used clear glitter dust on the ruffles to make her sparkle.
Oh you did a beautiful job!! It looks like you used the same Barbie I used for my grandaughter's 3rd b-day cake last October. The doll skirt pans don't make all that much cake so the additional base cake (to accommodate the legs) was just perfect. I really enjoyed doing it too. Glad you did too!!
I used a real Barbie doll and wrapped her lower body very well in plastic wrap. My daughter would be broken hearted if there wasn't a "real" doll in the cake. I could never just use a pick. lol!
