Mermaid, Under The Sea Cake
Hi! This is my second decorated cake, first two tier cake, first try at MMF... Phew! It's not perfect, but it was a great learning curve. It is a chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream, covered with MMF, all figures are also MMF. The tiers are 10" and 7". For the grey rock on top, I bake a little cake in a small glass bowl. My DD want an Ariel cake for her 7th birthday, but I didn't want to spend hours doing an Ariel likeness, so I just made a generic mermaid in Ariel's colors. My boyfriend said it looke

My boyfriend said it looked like Ariel gone overweight... Can you believe with all that cake I ended up with only four guests eating cake. The others said they were too full to have some. So I am left with LOTS of cake! Oh, and I really want to improve, so all comments are welcomed! Thanks for looking!
It does look like your mermaid ate all that leftover cake - but as someone with a similar figure, I think she's very cute! A really lovely cake, I'm sure your daughter loved it ;-D
