Black History Heroes

This cake was made and designed by me & my little sister. It was our donation to our local Big Brother, Big Sister monthly event. She helped w/everything!! (This is the cake I was having all the problems w/the edible images aarrgghh!). The color turned out HORRIBLE...it was suppose to be a nice antique yellow...but forgot AMERICOLORS...are awesome!! And the color deepened ALOT after I let it sit!! But we had a lot fun making it and the BBBS loved it!!!

Oh, and we ran out of ribbon for the top!! so we had to leave the wires 'bare'...wasn't very pretty.

well its funny b/c I thought it kinda looked like cheese....then when we were at the event I heard someone ask why they decorated a block of cheese!!! I'm just glad Kiera didn't hear it though...she may have been upset b/c i screwed up the color!! :oops: It may have been ok if I had done the cake board in another color...but w/the color we were ATTEMPTING...gold would have been perfect!!

Love it, this is such a wonderful idea, a real tribute to people who bravely made changes in our times! You both should be very proud of your cake, it is truly wonderful!
