Different Views-Chocolate and Butter Pecan layers, Saskatoon Filling, Vanilla Almond Buttercream. Turrets are ice cream cones one inverted on top of other. Windows are Fruit Roll Up. Details in Chocolate.
I have been searching high and low for a good idea about making turrets - the inverted ice cream cone is GENIUS - I was going to go with stacking cake rolls, but this will be so much better and more sturdy!!
Thanks everyone, yes I did cut away from the corners to insert the cones, bottom layer cut for the wide part of cone and the next two layers for the narrower part of the cone. There is probably an easier way but when I want a bumply texture, first I do it in stars then flatten them with my Clean glove covered cold hands to give a rough bumply texture, I used this method on my tiger cubs to make the fur more realistic and on the doll to make the dress look like taffeta.I used a skewer to draw in the rocks.
