In album: bow
This is my second fondant cake with a eight inch bottom and 6 inch top. New Strawberry cake recipe with Strawberry Whipped creme filling. First fondant loop bow. I learned a lot from this cake. Your critique is very welcome.

I see nothing to be critical of! The colors are simply striking, great contrast! Love your scroll work and your bow is fabulous!

I love the color contrast! We're always more critical of our own cakes than others are. Pat yourself on the back, TipTop57. You did great!

your bow is very real looking and the way you photographed the whole cake just makes it pop! BTW - how DID you do that!?

Thanks for all your comments. They are greatly appreciated. Chisl: I have a studio arts undergraduate degree in media. Use any black material pin it up. Velvet is the best, but if you have pets it won't last long with their fur - prop the cake up on box. I use my dictionary - then use halogen light one side only - I go above and to the right - there is also a window on that side for more light, then use my digital camera with flash. I make sure to balance the light by moving the camera. Then shoot.
