In album: cornelli-lace
I wanted to make a cake for my bf's parents since they have been letting me use their oven since mine hasn't been working and this way I got to practice my cornelli lace. I am not happy with the way it turned out... but it's better than the last time... it just kills my hand. I can do it great on paper then when it comes to doing on a cake, forget it!

Your cake looks great! As far as it hurting your hand perhaps you could get one of thos little squeeze ball hand exercisers and build up the muscles in your hand :)

I think your cornelli lace is very good! I know the feeling of hurting hands, mine hurt when I do basket weave. Hope they get to feeling better~

Your cake is so cute! I love doing the "just because" and little "thank you" cakes. Some hints for cornelli - use only a small amount in your bag. This means less to squeeze - less hand stress. Also, make sure the icing is of a thin, easy flowing consistency. I use cornelli lace a lot because it looks so nice and really dresses up a cake.
