Business Anniversary

Business Anniversary on Cake Central

This was for a businesses 3rd anniversary. It is Chocolate cake with Cookies and Cream filling, Buttercream and Black MMF. The Company logo I had to make a stencil of it and then used luster dust to get the silver. This cake didn't take a good picture. The seam that is running down it you couldn't see when looking at it. But the MMF that I made looked like leather, it was awesome, I still don't know how I got it to look like that but will have to play around to see if I can get it like that again.

great job. glad to see stencil idea worked. that base really accents the cake too! (and where did you get it?) leather, eh? tell all of us your secret when you figure it out!

I made the base plate myself :) I work for the company as a fabricator, so when I couldn't find what I wanted, I designed it then made it. And it is food safe!!! hehe

How did you get the fondant to be so black and still be a nice consistency? I have had problems with MMF getting crumbly after too much coloring?

I add my coloring to MMF after the marshmellows are melted, before I add the powdered sugar. Then I can control the consistency of the MMF by adding the powdered sugar a little at a time, sometimes i need more and sometimes I need less depending on the weather and color brand i am using.
