Thanks! Yes it is all buttercream. I took the 3 different colors and put them in bags and use tip 12 and just did squiggly lines and filled in that color sort of like a puzzle then smoothed with paper towel. Yes the tank is cake.

can you give me the specifics on how you did every thing? How did you keep the colors from smearing togather when you smothed it? Did you cut cake to make the tank and what did you do the gun with?

When I smoothed the icing with the Viva I didn't press really hard, just enough to make it smooth. The tank I used a 6in square and a 4in square and I cut the sides of the 6in at a downward angle to make the tracks and I also cut the 4in down to fit the middle of the 6 in. The gun I made with candy melts. I colored the chocolate green and poured it in a straw from McDonalds and put it in the freezer to set.

I just iced the area white where I wanted the writing, the whole cake wasn't iced in white first. The tracks are fondant. I just cut a strip of fondant and laid it around the track area and then I made indentions with a toothpick. If you need anymore info let me know.

Thank you so much. I really love your design. It almost looks as if you iced the cake first with white and then did the camouflage on top. Is that how you got the area you wrote on? Also how did you do the tracks, it looks like fondant. Thanks agian for your guidence I have a cake I need to do for a friend and I think something like this would be great.
