Celite Retirement
This cake was a last minute order for a man retireing at my husbands work. I had big plans for this cake, however at 1:00 in the morning plans go down the drain and you do what is easy. The cake is half chocolate filled with Bavarian creme, half yellow filled with rasberry. Iced and decorated in Buttercream, royal icing daisies. I ended up just copying their logo and writing on this one. You can see in the bottom right corner where my finger stuck in the cake and I had to try to repair too!
question: re the top border -- what tip # was that?
I used tip 12 for the top border. However, when I do this border on smaller cakes I use tip 10.
I have to say those colors compliment each other very well!
nice cake and pretty handwriting!
Pretty cake. I like the choice of colors.
really like what you did with both borders, the top one especially (gotta remember that one!)
I like that color combination and the variation of the triple shell border. I always think it's pretty but forget to try it when I do a new cake!
I really love the colours and the little daisies and especially like all of the border work, really makes it interesting!
Nicely done! Love the flowers. I also love the addition of the blue coloring to the bottom border!
