My sister and I did this for a PTA meeting at my sons' school. It wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. I found a picture of a wolf and sketched it into the icing using a toothpick. To make it look "furry", I'd put a line of chocolate buttercream then used the decorator brush and brushed the icing onto the cake. It's supposed to be a book - picture of wolf on left "page", Wolf credo on the other.
