i use my laser level...read about that tip somewhere on this site and rushed out to Walmart to buy a cheapi level...great investment, works great with no markings... nice cake BTW
Oh my Gosh! My husband got a laser level for xmas and I never even thought about using it! What an awesome idea lilscakes! Thanks!! :party: Thanks to everyone for your feeback too! awesome job! i have the same problem with my writing to0 (it comes out crooked or angled) someone suggested using an index card and pressing it in very lightly to use as a guide.

I like the index card idea. Wilton makes letter forms that you press down lightly onto the cake. I can't write straight on a cake to save my life! The flowers on this one look awesome and I love the border!
