I did this as a going away present for my daughters teacher. The apple I made with two small round bowls and scooped out the centers and put fresh raspberries and cream in it (it was just for the teacher). The pencil was smash cake and buttercream, and the ruler was yellow cake with bavarian cream center and buttercream icing.

what is smash cake?
I don't know if it is the proper name, but that's what I call it. It is the leftover pieces of cake (soft middle pieces) you take and smash them together and mold whatever shape you want. I usually freeze them for a little while before icing them.
