Gold Chevron on white buttercream.....

My bride wanted to do a gold chevron pattern on her wedding cake. So this is the design we came up with. I iced the cake smooth in white buttercream. I then hand cut a chevron pattern out of fondant, and then brushed it with gold highlighter dust. The other two tiers have a wide peacock colored satin ribbon at the base. I then placed fresh flowers on the top and edges. Luckily, my dh didn't have a wedding Friday night, so he was able to tag along and snap this beautiful picture! Kevin Paul Photography.
