Oh, hon, I'm so glad you got around to it this year - I LOVE these! I have no piping skills at all, but I want to try them for Thanksgiving.

Thanks all. Marianna46, I use red, orange and yellow buttercream for the "feathers" and pipe them with a 104 petal tip with the narrow end pointing out towards the end of the cupcake. Then I use a tip 12 to pipe the chocolate head, let it build up and then pull down to make the neck. Leaf tip for the yellow beak (sp?), 3 or 4 tip for the white eyes and then 1 or 2 for the black pupils and then a tip 3 for the red "gobble thingy" (LOL)...not sure what to call that. Hope that helps.
